Macedonian centre for international cooperation (MCIC) with Macedonian Enterprise development foundation (MEDF) in cooperation with local partners in June this year in Prilep, Shtip, Kumanovo and Gostivar presented the achievements from previous year and plans for this year.
Open days of MCIC and MEDF are organized second year in a row and the aim of organizers is to increase the transparency of the work. According to them the first step has to be done in “the own yard”. The request for higher transparency of public and private sector should start in civil society sector. Because of that, in front of representatives from civil society organizations, local self government, and local media beside program achievements the financial implications, financial reports and independent audit reports were presented as well.
Beside this, to the attendants was presented the Civil Society Index which offers the most comprehensive analyses of civil society sector in Macedonia till now, the Handbook for civil society organizations – “European Union Funding Sources” as well as the publication “Successful utilization of IPARD funds”.
The attendants had opportunity to ask questions and give comments concerning reports and plans as well as the three publications. |
